The Tournament

The AMH Island Classic Annual Charity Golf Tournament is being held since 1997.

As AMH is a not-for-profit organization, this event helps in raising funds for upgrading hospital infrastructure, and for the hospital’s community outreach programs. Free health check-ups, free medical camps and treatments to the underprivileged, and the conducting of health awareness seminars and talks are just a few of the many such activities.

The Golf Course

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa allows us the use of his private golf course in Saffriya, for the tournament.

This magnificent nine-hole golf course challenges both high and low handicappers. A beautiful manicured grass course, strategically placed lakes, winds of varying strengths, and the gently undulating greens, make it a perfect place, for this tournament. It’s truly a golfer’s delight.

The Format

It is played under the Florida Scramble format. There are two flights, Championship and Premiership, which allow golfers of various skill levels to participate. Teams of 4 members each can participate.

The Sponsors and Players

Corporate houses of Bahrain can participate in the event as sponsors and players.

When a sponsor supports, in cash and kind, they are eligible to put in their teams, the number of which is based on the sponsorship amount (see the left page, for details).
While contributing for charity , the sponsors will also benefit from coverage in press releases, advertisements and banners, and also from team participation, and recognition at the gala dinner.

Independent Teams can also participate at a nominal fee.
